Lottery keno — the kind you play at a gas station or bar every few minutes — is only available in states that have authorized it through their state lottery. As of 2026, about 12 states offer this format, with New York's Quick Draw being the most recent major addition.
Many states have lotteries but do not offer keno specifically. States like California, Florida, and Texas run large lottery operations but do not have the rapid-draw lottery keno format. Casino and tribal keno is available in far more states but requires a trip to a casino property.
If lottery keno isn't available in your state, you may still be able to play keno at a land-based casino (if your state has casino gambling), or through licensed online platforms (if your state allows online gambling). These are separate from state lottery keno and subject to different regulations.
