This Privacy Policy explains what information KenoSpots LLC ("KenoSpots," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you use kenospots.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. KenoSpots is an independent informational and entertainment site. We do not sell lottery tickets, accept wagers, or facilitate gambling of any kind.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, Google sign-in if you choose to create an account, and an email service if you opt in to updates. Your saved keno numbers are stored in your own browser by default. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising or behavioral-tracking networks.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use KenoSpots. GA4 collects standard usage information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not log in full), your device and browser type, and interactions like clicks on tools and "save numbers" actions. This data helps us see which guides and tools are useful and where the site can be improved. It is used in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign in, we use Google OAuth ("Sign in with Google"). When you authorize sign-in, Google shares a basic profile with us: your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password. We use this information to create and identify your account and to sync your saved numbers across devices.
If you opt in to email updates, we collect the email address you provide and send it through Postmark, our transactional and broadcast email provider, to deliver those messages. We only email people who have explicitly opted in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
When you save keno numbers, set favorites, or use certain tools, we store that data in your browser using localStorage. By default this information stays on your own device and is not sent to us. If you create an account and sign in, your saved numbers may be synced to our database so they are available across your devices.
KenoSpots uses cookies and similar browser technologies, primarily for analytics. These include:
We do not use cookies for advertising networks or cross-site behavioral tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies or clear cookies when you close the browser. Doing so may affect features such as saved numbers and staying signed in. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to DNT, so we do not currently change our behavior in response to DNT signals. Because we do not run advertising networks or cross-site behavioral tracking, the practical privacy impact of this is limited. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law as a valid request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising or behavioral ad targeting.
We rely on a small set of reputable service providers to run KenoSpots. Each processes only the data needed to provide its service, and each has its own privacy policy:
We do not embed advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels.
KenoSpots is operated from the United States, and the service providers we use may store and process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics retention settings. Saved numbers stored only in your browser remain until you clear them or your browser clears its local storage. When you delete your account, we delete the associated account data, subject to any retention required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Deleting your account or data: You can request deletion of your account and the data tied to it by emailing privacy@kenospots.com. To remove numbers saved only in your browser, clear your browser's local storage for kenospots.com. To stop receiving email, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights regarding your personal information:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. The categories of personal information we collect are described in the "Information We Collect" section above (for example, identifiers such as email address, internet activity such as analytics data, and inferences). To exercise your California rights, email privacy@kenospots.com. We will verify your request using the account or contact information we hold, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation and equivalent laws give you rights over your personal data. KenoSpots LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Legal bases. We process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, when you opt in to email updates or choose to sign in), our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service (for example, aggregate analytics), performance of a contract (to provide account features you request), and compliance with legal obligations.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your data; to rectify inaccurate data; to erase your data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@kenospots.com. We will respond within the time required by law, generally within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory or data protection authority.
KenoSpots is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by our services, including HTTPS encryption across the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take appropriate precautions to protect data in our custody.
If we become aware of a security incident that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your personal information, we will investigate promptly and take steps to contain and remediate it. Where a breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, including the timeframes set by laws such as the GDPR and U.S. state breach-notification statutes. Notifications will describe, to the extent known, the nature of the incident, the information involved, and the steps you can take to protect yourself.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of your data rights, email us at privacy@kenospots.com. We read every message and will respond as promptly as we are able.
