KENO 603 draws every 5 minutes, the slowest cycle among the states we track, which makes a session budget stretch further than it does in Massachusetts next door. New Hampshire also runs up to 12 spots, and the 12-spot top prize reaches $1,000,000.
KENO 603 is available at licensed New Hampshire Lottery retailers displaying keno signage: bars and restaurants with monitors showing the draw live, convenience stores and gas stations, and grocery and variety stores with a lottery counter. Unusually for keno, it is also available on the New Hampshire Lottery's iLottery platform for eligible players physically within state lines. You must be 18 or older to play.
The optional multiplier is KENO 603 PLUS. It doubles your wager and draws a multiplier for each game, with values of 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. There is no 2x, and many draws return no multiplier at all. The important restriction is that PLUS is not available on the 10, 11 or 12-spot games, which is exactly where New Hampshire's biggest prizes sit, so the multiplier and the top prize ceiling cannot be combined.
Smaller prizes are normally paid straight back at the retailer that sold the ticket, and larger ones go through a lottery claim center or a mail-in claim. New Hampshire levies no state income tax, so nothing is withheld at the state level and a prize is not taxed by the state. Federal rules treat a state lottery keno prize like any other lottery prize: once your winnings minus the wager clear $5,000, the lottery withholds 24% for the IRS before it pays you, and smaller prizes can still be reported on a Form W-2G.
