Quebec Keno: Banco by Loto-Quebec

Does Quebec have keno? Yes. Quebec's keno game is Banco, run by Loto-Quebec: pick 2 to 10 numbers from a field of 1 to 70, the draw selects 20, and your wager multiplies every prize. Here is how it works, with paytables, odds, and tips.

20 of 70 Numbers Drawn
$200,000 Top Prize (10-pick, per $1)

Important: Banco uses a field of 1 to 70

Unlike most keno games, which draw from 1 to 80, Banco draws 20 numbers from a field of just 1 to 70. A smaller field changes your odds of matching, so the paytables and probabilities below are calculated specifically for a 70-number game.

About Banco

Banco is the keno-style draw game run by Loto-Quebec and sold at lottery retailers across Quebec and online at lotoquebec.com. It is drawn daily, with results published each evening (Eastern Time). Banco is sometimes called Quebec's keno because the format is the same: you choose your numbers, 20 are drawn, and your prize depends on how many you match.

Players choose between 2 and 10 numbers, called a selection, and 20 numbers are drawn from the 1 to 70 field each draw. You win based on how many of your numbers match, according to the prize table for your selection size.

How Banco Works

Pick 2–10 numbers from 1–70 and choose a wager of $1 up to $10. One draw happens each day, and 20 numbers are drawn from 70. You win based on how many of your numbers match, according to the prize table for your selection size. Your wager multiplies the prize, so a $5 bet pays five times the per-dollar amounts shown below.

The Wager Multiplier

Banco prizes are quoted per $1 wagered, and your wager acts as a straight multiplier. You can bet $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, or $10 on a selection. A $1 bet on a 10-number selection that matches all 10 pays $200,000; the same selection played for $2 would pay $400,000, subject to Loto-Quebec's published prize limits. The per-draw payout for any prize category is capped at a fixed pool, so very large wins can be shared.

Where to Play Banco

You can play Banco at any licensed Loto-Quebec retailer throughout Quebec, including convenience stores (depanneurs), gas stations, and grocery stores, or online through lotoquebec.com. You must be 18 or older to play. The optional Turbo add-on is a separate feature with its own multiplier and is not modeled in the odds below.

Banco Paytables

All payouts below are per $1 wagered. For a $2 bet, double all payouts; for a $5 bet, multiply by 5, and so on. Odds are calculated for the 1 to 70 number field.

Banco draws from 70 numbers, so its odds differ from standard 80-number keno, but the spot-by-spot payout structure is a useful comparison.
